Jaime Komer – Water Polo

During her career as a goalkeeper for the USA Women’s Water Polo Team, Jaime had the opportunity to travel around the world, challenge herself both physically and mentally, all while competing at the highest level. She is an Olympic Silver Medalist, 2-time World Champion, and World Championship Silver Medalist. Prior to her National Team career, Jaime traveled to Australia and earned two National League Championships. While earning her bachelors degree in Psychology and minor in French at UCLA, she helped lead the Bruins to 3 NCAA titles, as well as earning All-American all four years.

Towards the end of her water polo career, Jaime became a Certified Instructor in yoga, spin, pilates, and SUP. Needless to say, Jaime has a passion for sharing everything healthy, inspiring, and sweaty. With her husband Matt Komer, they created Athlete.Yogi.Traveler, a concept dedicated to sharing yoga and inspire global positivity. (both Jaime and Matt will be leading Kids Play Int’l trips to Rwanda and Cambodia this year!) Jaime also leads Olympian Yoga & Pilates, catering to the athletic community.

Jaime is at her happiest when traveling, so when you combine her love of sports, working with kids, and giving back, Kids Play Int’l is a perfect fit! Having been to Kids Play Int’l program site in Gatagara, Rwanda in 2012 & 2013, Jaime is looking forward to continuing to help build and support this growing foundation. Also an Ambassador for Vega and lululemon athletica, Jaime hopes to inspire others by “bringing out the athlete, yogi, and traveler, in all of us.”
